Glasurit 5S for your bodyshop
Workplace efficiency at the premium level
The 5S system was first introduced on a large scale at the production lines of Japanese automobile manufacturers, where manufacturers still use it today as the basis for the continuous improvement of quality, cost control and workflows.

Five steps to an efficient workplace
Five Japanese terms sum up your route to the optimized workplace:
- Seiri: Sort
- Seiton: Set in order
- Seiso: Scrub
- Seiketsu: Standardize
- Shitsuke: Strict discipline

This is how it works
You want to get to grips with preparation bays, the paint mixing room or an individual trolley? Does the spare parts store or the reception area need optimization? In all of these cases, 5S is the right solution for you.
Step 1: Kick-off meeting
Together with your Glasurit consultant, you establish the goals of your 5S. It is also a good opportunity to prepare step 2.
Step 2: Area optimization
The people working in the relevant area clean and optimize the workplace (usually for one day). Please bear in mind that this area cannot be used as normal on that day.
Step 3: Implementing routines
Together with your Glasurit consultant, you will develop standards and check-up plans to maintain this level of tidiness in the long term.
Step 4: Follow-up
A few weeks or months later, you and your Glasurit consultant will check whether the area is under control. If so, you are good to enjoy an optimized workplace for years.
