As the exclusive paint partner for the WorldSkills Competition's "Automotive Painting" category and a global partner of the WorldSkills Organization, the museum features a dedicated permanent exhibition area for Glasurit, BASF’s premium refinish paint brand. Here, visitors can delve into the world of automotive painting skills, explore the raw materials used in BASF automotive refinish coatings, learn about the brand and solutions of Glasurit, and even engage in a hands-on, interactive experience through a VR unit.

The museum is now open to the public free of charge. Visitors can make reservations through the WorldSkills Museum's WeChat public account. We warmly invite you to explore the BASF Glasurit area!

Dr. Mirko Arnold, Vice President of Global Technology at BASF Automotive Refinish Coatings Solutions, expressed his pride in BASF China's participation in the WorldSkills Museum project, “with Glasurit serving as the official museum project partner and global industry sponsor. With a rich history spanning 135 years, the Glasurit brand is uniquely positioned to contribute to the education and historical narrative of refinish repair solutions. BASF is committed to supporting the sustainable future of skilled workers in China and around the world, and Glasurit will continue to invest in the development of young talents for the industry.”

The ceremony also brought exciting news: The city of Shanghai has signed a contract with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Affairs and WorldSkills to host the 48th WorldSkills Competition in 2026. This event will provide a tremendous opportunity for global participants to visit the WorldSkills Museum!
