GLASURIT supports young painters at EuroSkills2023

BASF is stepping up its commitment to developing young talent for the global collision repair industry. All the contestants at EuroSkills Gdańsk, Poland, and WorldSkills France 2023 National Finals will use premium refinish paint and solutions from Glasurit, the premium paint brand of BASF and official Global Industry Partner of WorldSkills International. They will leverage sustainable and digital solutions and state-of-the-art training to develop the next generation of world-class painters who will be ready for the WorldSkills Competition in Lyon, France, 2024.

The 8th edition of EuroSkills, the European Championship of Young Professionals, will take place for the first time in Gdańsk, Poland. Organized by WorldSkills Europe, Glasurit will support the competition in the category “Car Painting” and represent the professional skills of people under 25 years old with eight finalists from Denmark, France, Germany, Finland, Norway, Poland, Spain, and UK. The event will begin on September 5.

WorldSkills France National Finals 2023 in Lyon


For the edition WorldSkills France National Finals in Lyon from September 14 to 16, 2023, Glasurit will support the “Olympics of the Technical Handcrafts Professions” in the “Automotive Painting” category in the “mobility” zone. After regional finals in France, 11 best painters will compete in Lyon and have the chance for the international Competition. The competitors will show their skills in seven modules using the most advanced paint applications from Glasurit to ensure the latest refinish repair standards from preparation to finishing different OEM colors, as in a real work situation.

A set of tailored webinars were made available to all painters and country experts at the competition using refinish products, processes and color retrieval solutions from Glasurit. The finalists were trained in a hybrid format using Glasurit trainers in the countries with all product and process information available on Glasurit Know-how, one of the most extensive refinish information platforms in the industry which offers e-books and video training.
