Glasurit Sponsors EmiratesSkills 2025 in Abu Dhabi, Championing the Future of Automotive Refinish Talent

Glasurit is proud to have been a sponsor of EmiratesSkills 2025, held in Abu Dhabi, reaffirming its commitment to empowering the next generation of skilled professionals in the UAE. Organized by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET), EmiratesSkills is a leading national platform that encourages excellence in technical and vocational education and celebrates young Emirati talent across a wide range of disciplines.

The annual competition brings together students, apprentices, and young professionals under the age of 23 to compete in various skill categories aligned with international standards. EmiratesSkills 2025 featured more than 30 technical categories, including robotics, welding, electrical installation, and car painting — a discipline BASF Coatings proudly supports through its Glasurit brand.

In the car painting category, participants demonstrated exceptional precision, creativity, and technical skill across a series of challenging refinishing tasks. These included surface preparation, masking, and spray application – all under timed conditions and close professional evaluation. The competition closely mirrors real-world expectations in the automotive refinish industry, offering valuable hands-on experience to aspiring technicians. Congratulations to the talents;
