Fundación Forge and Glasurit trained young people in automotive refinishing
21/10/2025
During the program, participants received theoretical classes on the basics of refinishing, processes, tools, color formulation, and trends in colorimetry, including the use of digital tools and modern techniques. They also carried out practical training at the Glasurit® Refinish Competence Center (RCC), a state-of-the-art facility located at BASF’s plant in Tortuguitas, Buenos Aires, and in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Upon completion of the course, the young participants were able to apply what they learned in vehicle repair shops and paint stores, thus expanding their job opportunities. This initiative was also carried out in Uruguay, further strengthening the regional reach of the program.
Silvana Muñoz, Director of Strategic Alliances at Forge Río de la Plata, highlighted:
“The training provided by BASF enriched the education of the young people and enhanced their employment prospects. The participants also completed Forge’s Tu Futuro Program, focused on key socio-emotional and digital skills for the world of work.”
Constanza De Benedetti, Technical Sales Support Manager for BASF’s Automotive Refinish division in Latin America, added:
“At Glasurit®, we renewed our partnership with Fundación Forge, promoting new training so that more young people could learn about automotive refinishing and help professionalize the sector.”
