Colour Education Glasurit educates the delegate in basic aspects of colour and colour matching, including an introduction to the use of digital tools including Glasurit spectro and our Refinity system, whilst also utilising the Glasurit Ratio Colour Profi System for 55 & 90 Line users. The objective of this course is to enable delegates to understand the basic principles of colour theory, economically manage the preparation of colour and alter, if necessary, a colour formula to achieve an acceptable colour match. Multi Layer Application 90 Line/100 Line A growing trend in motor vehicle manufacturing has seen the increased use of special finishes. Special finishes include multi-layer effect colours, such as 3-4 layer pearls and candy colours, and are among the more difficult finishes to replicate. Even the highly skilled paint technician can find it difficult to avoid costly mistakes which result in increased costs. The key focus will be on implementation of best practices to mitigate the risk of rework associated with replication of difficult finishes. Paint Application 90 Line/100 Line The Paint Application course is targeted to give body shop personnel a broader knowledge about Glasurit products and processes and their correct use in the body shop. Suitable for employees who want to improve their current knowledge in the painting processes or in the use of Glasurit refinish technology. This course will cover waterbase technology, process application and fast repair modules, but can also be used for participants who wish to do multi-layer paintwork. Colour and Blending Solutions 90 Line/100 Line Colour is a critical part of the refinish repair process. The ability to achieve an acceptable colour match and a successful blending is critical to producing an undetectable repair. Gaps in skill sets surrounding this process will lead to increased costs and possible rework. The objective of this course is to enable the participants to understand the principles of economically managing the preparation of colour and to achieve an acceptable colour match utilising the Glasurit colour tools and recommended matching methods. This will be applied practically in different blending scenarios, with the aim of achieving an undetectable blend transition. OEM Specification (Invitation Only) This seminar is targeted for body shop with OEM approval and is required to maintain vehicle paint warranty and high-quality appearance. The objective of this course is to educate the delegate in the Glasurit warranted Painting Systems and products. The focus will be on substrate preparation, application techniques & replication of OEM coating processes necessary to fulfill the high expectations of the vehicle manufacturers and owners. Will be held on request depending on delegate numbers and availability.
