Arabian Nights is the name of the special colour that twinkles like the stars in the heaven above the Arabian desert. This is the unique gift that Glasurit is making to 11 automobile enthusiasts in the United Arab Emirates to celebrate the company’s 111th anniversary. Not only does the Arabian Nights finish look spectacular, it is also very exclusive: Arabian Nights is only available in the anniversary year and only 11 cars will be painted with it in the United Arab Emirates – that is guaranteed by a certificate. The first of these cars has already been given an Arabian Nights finish and is now causing a sensation in traffic and the media.

The cars that are embellished with this exclusive, special anniversary colour really are quite exceptional automobiles belonging to very outstanding car enthusiasts. The first car to be refinished with Arabian Nights was a brand-new Porsche 911. For this car, the special, authenticated colour is the culminating feature, the icing on the cake. The colour looks as though it has come right out of one of the “Arabian Nights” tales, where stars twinkling in the night sky meet up with a rainbow.
However magical and mysterious the appearance of the Arabian Nights finish may be, its formula is equally secret. For months, the experts at Glasurit experimented with effect pigments and synthetic resin mixtures to create this really spectacular colour. That Arabian Nights emanates a mysterious glitter and a multicoloured shimmer is striking enough, but the special colour also illuminates even the tiniest shape of the car and enhances the vehicle’s curves in a spectacular manner.
The base for “Arabian Nights” is a mat black basecoat – coming, of course, from the highly-successful Glasurit 90 Line. Afterwards, a layer of special pigments is applied, followed by a brilliant finish consisting of the best clear that 90 Line has to offer: Glasurit 923-335 HS Multi Clear.
Naturally, for such a spectacular colour the paint also has to be applied in a professional manner. That is why the paint professionals at Abu Dhabi Motors were chosen to do this special job. The Abu Dhabi Motors team really got the stars in Arabian Nights twinkling with all their might!
