The French National Museum Cité de l’Automobile – Schlumpf Collection houses some 560 historic automobiles. To keep the valuable collection in peak condition, the museum has agreed on a cooperation project with Glasurit. The French National Museum Cité de l’Automobile – Schlumpf Collection in the Alsatian city of Mulhouse is the world’s largest car museum. It houses over 500 historic luxury models and racing cars that bring automotive history to life, including the famous Bugatti Royale. 422 models in the collection are even classed as historical monuments. The foremost task of the museum is to conserve this unique collection. To do so, both the mechanical workings of the vehicles and the car bodies need to be restored at regular intervals.
