Why modern paints are the better alternative
For collectors’ items, only the best is good enough
There are many reasons that speak in favour of coating an old beauty with a modern high-tech coating. The impressively beautiful appearance is only one of them.
The old colours, and that also means a vintage vehicle’s “old” appearance, can be replicated perfectly with our modern paint systems, such as waterborne basecoats. A pleasant by-product for all vintage car owners: the old beauty receives a state-of-the-art coating - paint that can withstand wind and weather; to put it briefly: the vintage car keeps its beauty for a longer time.
Many a vintage car aficionado would have liked to have the original paints that were used in their car’s “childhood days”. But, as responsible paint manufacturers, we have long since removed these paints from our shelves. There are good reasons for this:
