Whether we’re talking about a sophisticated original finish, colour change, or coating of plastics - Glasurit 284-25 RATIO-TRUCK Surfacer’s total flexibility ensures a smooth substrate, perfect adhesion in the three-layer system and an excellent finish. On top of all this, the white truck surfacer also helps to save time and material.
284-25 is the ideal truck surfacer for the high-quality, wet-on-wet original coating process on buses, fire-fighting vehicles and drivers’ cabs. If necessary, the surfacer can even be sanded. It is ideal for colour changes too. The surfacer has excellent adhesive properties even on non-metallic substrates such as old paintwork, glass-fibre reinforced plastic substrates and other plastics. For use on plastics, the truck surfacer can, if required, even be elastified by means of 522-111 Softface-Additive.
As the white Glasurit 284-25 RATIO-TRUCK Surfacer can be readily tinted to match the topcoat, it provides excellent hiding power, particularly on edges and for “two-step finishes” which up to now required the prior application of a spraycoat of RAL 9010. The new product also improves colour accuracy. This is because all colours for commercial vehicles are based on a white substrate – the colour of the surfacer.
Even with high-quality bus finishing for which 90 Line CV is used, Glasurit 284-25 RATIO-TRUCK Surfacer ensures optimum colour-matching accuracy. For such applications it can be tinted with 568-408 CV Primer Tinting Paste, black, in six grey scales.
