Manufacturer's code:  Enter the code for the manufacturer in this field, which is mandatory .
Without this information the database cannot be searched. To open a list of the manufacturers click on the field name. You can then select the short name of the manufacturer from this list.

Colour code:  Code according to the manufacturer.

Colour name:  Name of the colour according to the manufacturer.

Auxiliary code:  Additional identification code for the colour.
Some of the manufacturers do not use this code.

Standard number:  Additional identification code for the colour.
Some of the manufacturers do not use this code.

Variant:  Variants are small deviations from original colour.
Normally this field is not used for database queries.
It makes no sense to enter data here unless precise information is available.

Hints for usage of the Query-Form
- Queries may be entered in upper- or lower-case letters.
- You must enter the manufacturer's name (mandatory field).
To open a list of the manufacturers and their codes click on the field name. You can then select the short name of the manufacturer from this list.
- The fields Colour code, Colour name, Standard number and Auxiliary code are used to define a more selective query.
Only Data which satisfy all search criteria at the same time will be displayed !
- In defining a query, the character % serves as a 'wild card',
e.g. % replaces as many arbitrary characters in the query-string.
Example: The query is to find colors (from a certain manufacturer), which contain the character sequence BLUE
The query-entry in the field Colour name will be:
%BLUE%
The query would result in colors with names for example:
SKYBLUE, BLUE METALLIC, MIDNIGHT BLUE MET, ....
